One of the things that get me day during the week is if my days have been starting off bad. It effects my moods and puts me in a hopeless place. A couple of years ago, while listening to one of Joyce Meyers podcasts, she mentioned that whatever happened the previous day stays there. Her making this statement filled me with hope. Now, I go into every day that no matter what I say, do, or what other people do that particular day stays there, and I can fresh start. I've also picked up some more ways of handling myself when things are out of my control. Here are three ways you can start fresh every day.
1. PRAY FIRST
I like to start my day off with prayer. If you are not a praying person, then feel free to replace this step with journaling, meditation, exercise. I like to pray because it helps to clear my mind and my heart from the day before and lay whatever bothering at the foot of the cross and move on.
2. REVIEW YOUR GOALS
I believe I have mentioned what goal planner that I'm currently using. PowerSheets from the Cultivate What Matters. This systems has a page called your trending list and keep track of your goals. At the start of the days, I take time to remind myself of where I'm going, and what I have already done
3. REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING
I know that I'm not in control, God is. I can't control the world, people, events, etc. I can only manage what I do and say.
