I am a planner, but sticking to those plans not so much. Over time, have bought so many planners that I have lost track and yes I've kept a lot of the planner lol. The reason I bought so many is that I was looking for the layout that would fit my lifestyle. Never found it. Over the years I've discovered that I am an anti-to-do list. They leave you feeling anxious. With a to-do list, you tend to focus on the urgent, not the critical task (I'll go more into my dislike for to-do list in another post). Even though I don't like to-list, I love a structured day; it leaves me to feel less anxious when I know this is getting done. If you feel me on this, then here's how you can schedule your day in 3 easy steps.
1. LOOK AT YOUR SCHEDULE FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE
Carry over any task that you didn't complete unto the next day.
2. URGENT VS. IMPORTANT
Time-blocking helps with this a ton. When you time block you're able to put aside time to get the essential stuff down.
3. FIND A SCHEDULE KEEPER
Currently, I use google calendar. This program allows you to time-block your day.
