MAY 2019 READING LIST

May TBR & APRIL'S WRAP-UO.jpg

April was a ROUGH month I was sick for half of it, suffered a loss of a family member and lost the desire to run my shop Instagram because of low engagement (more on this later). All of this together, reading becoming less important, and my TBR list hardly was touch. I am okay with this; nothing is perfect. I finished one book and started another. That's it lol. So the wrap-up part of this post will be short. I hope you enjoy it anyways! Let's get into it, shall we?

April's Reads

1. WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING BY DELIA OWENS

Yall, I finished this book in three days. It was that GOOD. I love a good story as you know. If you're in the mood for a love story, tragedy, and a murder mystery, then this story is for you.

Rating: A+

MAY TBR

1. BECOMING BY MICHELLE OBAMA

I started this book last month, and I have to stay that I love it! Her writing style is wonderful and keeps my attention. I'm almost 100 pages in and I'm learning so much about FLOTUS (previously).

2. THE POET X BY ELIZABETH ACEVEDO

On my book gram lol I asked what books I should add to my TBR for May and this one of the choices! I've seen this book on the shelves at book stores, and I'm excited to give this a read

3. WORK PARTY BY JACKLYN JOHNSON

I love Jacklyn's business Create and Cultivate and hope to be able to attend their events one day. This book is about her journey in business. I'm listening to this one on Audible this month.

Okay, that is it! I limit myself to three books a month because it is just a realistic number for myself. I would love to know what you're reading this month, leave a comment down below.
