3 WAYS TO MASTER YOUR MORNINGS!




I'm not a morning person, honestly. I'm more of a night owl, but as I've gotten older mornings have become pretty important to me. While in college staying up late to study for an exam was pretty much my routine. I've definitely mastered the art of procrastinating. This unhealthy habit is something I'm working on daily basis. 





I listen to a ton of Podcast, not every day, but pretty often and my playlist consist of a range of subjects from politics to sermons. Mostly, there's business Podcast. With the combination of listening and reading advice from other business owners, the standout lesson is to master your mornings. Getting up early to get the critical stuff done first. Studies have shown that your brain works better in the morning after 8hrs of sleep. I've tested out this thought, and I can personally agree that there's some truth to it. Going to bed at 9pm and getting up at 5:30-6am has given me space to get the right stuff completed. 












In the book "10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Mangement" the author suggests picking three critical hours to plan out your day.  For me, the three hours in the morning works best.  Along with choosing your three hours, here are two other tips on how to master your mornings:

1. Do your creative work before you check your email
I'm totally guilty of checking my email before I do anything, and it actually doesn't get my day start correctly. I need up stressing over deadlines and responding back to contacts. I suggest only checking your email after you planned out your day, and check it once in the evening. 


2. Plan your meals including breakfast the night before
Seems simple enough right? But it indeed saves you some much time.  This goes along with meal planning which I'll cover in a later post.


3. PICK YOUR THREE CRITICAL HOURS AND PLAN! 
Yes, like I've mentioned many times before in this post, plan, plan, and more plan. Even though your intentions might fall through, still putting this into motions helps you step yourself up for success.
